Greetings from Two Harbors

VOYAGEUR MONUMENT
Pierre the Voyageur keeps watch over the gateway to the Voyageur country. The Voyageurs were the early French-Canadian fur traders who landed here in 1660 naming it Agate Bay, now Two Harbors. The Voyageurs traded with the Indians along the North Shore. With many hardships and portages they traveled from Grand Portage to Rainy Lake and West.
