Banning Highway Sign
BANNING, CALIFORNIA — Gateway to the Desert and Idyllwild Mountain Resort. Nestling in the spectacular San Gorgonio Pass at the base of Southern California's two highest peaks, snow-capped about six months in the year — Mt. San Gorgonio (11,485 feet) on the north and Mt. San Jacinto (10,803 feet) shown on the south. Visitors and residents alike never cease to marvel at the indescribable grandeur which surrounds them on every side. Elevation here — 2350 feet.
