BLACK HAWK STATUE. At Eagle's Nest Bluff in Lowden State Park, one mile north of Oregon [Illinois], Lorado Taft's majestic Black Hawk statue is 48 ft. high, built upon a natural rock base rising nearly 300 ft. above the Rock River.
