Lava Beds in New Mexico


Lava Beds on Highway 66, approximately 70 miles west of Albuquerque near Grants, New Mexico. These Lava Beds are the results of volcanic action of extinct craters to be seen,south of Grants, near the Ice Caves.

LAVA BEDS
This great lava flow is one of the most recent in the United States, Occurring between 1,000 and 2,000 years ago. It extends approximately 40 miles South & West.
