Sailing, swimming, fishing and other water sports are popular on the Peninsula's more than 250 miles of scenic shoreline. Beautiful fall colors are enjoyed by the autumn visitor. The Peninsula is also known as "Cherryland" and thousands of people travel to Door County to see the acres and acres of blossoms and later, the trees laden with luscious red cherries.
