Crucifixion Tapestry

FROM THE TAPESTRY GALLERY of
Elizabeth LaFort
Margaree Harbour, Nova Scotia
Completed in 1964, the "Crucifixion" is one of the major religious scenes, worked in handhooked tapestry, for which Miss Elizabeth LaFort is famous. The "Crucifixion" required the dyeing of more than 5 miles of yarn in over a million tiny loops. Canada's "Artist in Wool" is shown here with this beautiful work which is displayed in her Margaree Harbour, Nova Scotia Gallery in Summer months.
